I bought a CalSci for my R12000R and found three issues. First, the curve did not match the mount, requiring a wrestling match every time I mounted it, and it causing it to press agressively on the instrament cluster. Others have made this complaint too; not sure why CalSci has not addressed it. Second, I get buffetting at highway speed, though I followed their sizing instructions to the letter. I believe this to be related to the shaping of the top of the screen. Third, the vent holes align with the instrament cluster affording no protection for the cluster in the rain. Last time I was out, I also noticed some milkiness to the lexan in bright sun, though I have not cleaned it in a while. Have not picked up my NT from the dealer yet (frikin snow), but expect to keep the stock shield.

I bought the Calsci medium screen. It will be here on Tuesday. I'll let you all know my opinion once it installed. Prepairing for a trip from Michigan to Florida and I'm one that likes to be behind a sheld rather then looking over. I'm only 5' 7" so I figure the medum will work for me.

Received my Calsci windshield today. Took all of 5 minutes to uninstall the OEM one and install the Calsci. Looks great and in the middle position I now look through the shield (I'm 5' 7" with a 30" inseam). The shield came with a cloth shield cover that I used to store my OEM one. Also came with a bottle of their cleaning solution, a soft cloth for cleaning and a bonus tire pressure gage! Nice touch. Haven't ridden with it yet. Bad storms here today. But will report as soon as I can get some time with it.

Well I had my first ride with my new Calsci shield. The size I picked (medium) is perfect in that I can take it to the bottom position and still see over it if I want. And in the 3rd position I can be behind the shield like I would want for long rides. The shield is very clear but has a very slight "watery" effect. Not noticeable unless you look for it. I had no back pressure at all. And things were so quite I didn't realize I was cruising along at 85 mph. The shield was stable up to 95 mph but I didn't push past that. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase!!!
